It is better to be prepared one year too early than 5 minutes too late

All too often, when I chat with industry colleagues, I am finding them nod in agreement as we discuss how many life changing decisions are made at the worst place and time:

The emergency department waiting area

The hallway of a skilled nursing facility or

On a hastily organized zoom call with too many people with too many different perspectives of what is “the right” decision.

Granting your senior loved one and their family the time to discuss what may be coming next in their life journey is invaluable. Putting a plan in place to discuss, “All The Things” that seniors encounter and getting the correct people, paperwork and services in place can save time, money, relationships and turmoil. It turns a crisis into planned next step.

It is better to be prepared one year to early than 5 minutes to late.
