
Mary Kay Furiasse

Mary Kay Furiasse is the founding attorney, of A/Z Health & Elder Law, a Life Care Planning Law Firm. She brings over thirty years of practicing law together with her clinical background as a nurse to A/Z Health & Elder Law. Mary Kay concentrates her practice in the area of elder law, focusing on representing seniors, individuals with special needs, and their families in connection with life care planning, public benefits, trust and estate planning, and long-term care advocacy. Mary Kay also practices in estate administration, asset preservation, supplemental and special needs trusts, planning for disability, guardianship. Mary Kay has earned the Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) credential in addition to her Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Masters in Health Law.
Mary Kay has served on the Illinois State Bar Elder Law Council and is past chair of the DuPage County Bar Association Elder Law Section. She has also served as a member of AgeGuide on the Advisory Council and the Legislative Committees. Mary Kay is also a member of the National Aging in Place Council.

Ben is an avid triathlete and had competed “extreme” triathlons in southern Patagonian Chile, Norway, Utah, the Scottish Highlands, and the Swiis Alps this fall (swimming 2.4 miles in something abnormally cold, biking 112 miles over mountain passes, followed by hilly offroad marathons).

Howard H. Collens
Howard H. Collens is a founding member of Collens Estate Law. Mr. Collens focuses his practice on contested and uncontested probate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, estate planning, and elder law.
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Elder Law and Disability Rights Section (ELDRS), where he is currently serving his second term as a member of the ELDRS Council and also participates on the Legislative Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Probate and Estate Planning Section (PEPS) and serves on its Legislative Development and Drafting Committee.
