Anand Shastri
Healthcare Policy & Marketing Manager
Anand Shastri has extensive experience in healthcare through both his professional background and academic studies. His work experience includes medical billing, payment posting, patient filing, and patient communications while working with physicians’ practices. He also worked as a summer underwriter for a statewide medical organization.
In addition, Anand served as an op-ed columnist focused on healthcare policy and has written more than 25 editorial articles related to healthcare topics. He also worked as both a paid intern and later a staff writer for a medical organization based in Chicago, Illinois.
With regard to education, healthcare policy was one of Anand’s areas of specialization during his graduate studies in Political Science. His most significant research involved a comparative analysis of healthcare systems in six industrialized countries, comparing and contrasting them with the healthcare system in the United States. He has also presented healthcare-related research at statewide and regional Political Science conferences.
At the undergraduate level, Anand’s senior thesis focused on mental health coverage across states in America.
